GOP Vote Against Health Care Reform, Whine Later

Merriam-Webster's 3rd definition of irony is described as "incongruity between the actual result of a sequence of events and the normal or expected result", and while irony is one of my favorite types of humor, this is not funny at all to me. While we bitch at politicians for not being in touch with the average American, the fact of the matter is that these people do have families and at the end of the day, are just bringing home the bacon. What amazes me is that every single Republican voted against the health care bills, even those who have no insurance to fall back on. Not being able to afford health care is pretty damn depressing and it's a damn shame we don't have free health care in this country. But that's just like, my opinion man.

However, here is a little bit of humor from one of our buddies, Republican representative Michael Grimm out of New York. When asked whether or not he should have a government-subsidized health care that average Americans aren't entitled to, he replied, “What am I not supposed to have health care?…God forbid I get into an accident and can’t afford the operation. That can happen to anyone.” Oh no, turns out everyone in this country is 2nd rate compared to Mr. Grimm!

All in all, this article really does a good job at humanizing our Congressional leaders, and if you enjoy having many emotions coursing through your head all at once, this article is highly recommended for you!
P.S. it isn't a long read either, for those who get bored after reading 3 paragraphs :)
